Mrs. Hodges
Melanie Hodges resides in the Roanoke Valley. She graduated from Bluefield Christian College in 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education, and she is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Elementary Special Education through Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Hodges has volunteered, worked as a teacher’s aide, and a substitute teacher for Roanoke City Public Schools for several years, as well as homeschooled her children for 3 years. Before working at KCA full time, she was a KCA parent and substitute. We were excited to add her to our staff full time a few years ago. She also has been the assistant coach for our middle school girls’ basketball team!
Mrs. Hodges and her husband will have been married 23 years this year. Her two children Bethany and Josiah are in high school at KCA, and son is a senior this year. Her family attends Mount Olive Church in Roanoke, Virginia, for simple family worship.
In her spare time, Mrs. Hodges enjoys playing volleyball and pickleball, crocheting, crafting, and cheering on her children in basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Mrs. Hodges loves encouraging others to “do justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly with the Lord”, Micah 6:8.
