Mrs.
DesMarais
Mrs. Amanda DesMarais grew up in Rocky Mount, NC. She and her husband have four children, three of whom attend KCA; two dogs and a cat. She is a graduate of Liberty University with Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. She is thankful for the opportunity to share God’s love abundantly as a kindergarten teacher at KCA.
In her spare time, Mrs. DesMarais loves spending time with her family and close friends. Her favorite Bible verses are Zephaniah 3:17, The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” and Psalm 63:1, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I will seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh yearns for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”

Velazquez
Mrs. Jessica Velazquez was born in Virginia and moved to Tennessee to attend Crown College. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. She has been in the educational field for over 10 years in private Christian schools. Her family moved back to Virginia a few years ago to be closer to family. She enjoys having Christ the center of her classroom and in all her lessons.
Mrs. Velazquez has been married to Erick for 6 years and have a daughter named Hannah. Hannah will be in Kindergarten at KCA this year. Mrs. Velazquez’s life verse is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This is a daily reminder to seek God first in all aspects of life and making Him priority. Mrs. Velazquez is excited to join the KCA family and is looking forward to meeting all her Kindergarteners!
